Kate Blairstone
Kate Blairstone is an illustrator and surface pattern designer in Portland, Oregon. With a BFA in Printmaking from the Pacific Northwest College of Art, her work plays with flat, bold, hand-drawn shapes and variations in registration reminiscent of both block and screen printing processes.
Kate's drawings are inspired by plants and botanicals wherever they can be found: her own garden and nurseries around Portland, Chinoiserie, ceramics, textiles and folk design. She is currently building a collection of bold floral wallpapers, and would like to see her work covering every surface in her home. You can see her work at kateblairstone.com.
